I stayed up late last night - through till early morning because overnight a huge amount of fantastic and educational material was coming though FAST from the sites I have 'liked' on facebook.
I spent the night reading and yes I did comment and 'like' those sites.
This morning all that educational stuff I LOVE is GONE. Yes I did do the things you need to do to maintain those things in your feed. I do love all those friends I interact with during the day, but I learn form those night-sites. How can I get facebook to feed me more of the educational stuff that I want without having to remove all my wonderful positive friends so there is only room for the academic?
I sure do not want to work though till 5 am every night just so I see them.

The History of the World According to Facebook By Wylie Overstreet
In August 2010, Wylie Overstreet published a satirical article called "If Historical Events Had Facebook Statuses" on the website CoolMaterial.com. Within a month, it had received 3 million views and had been liked by over 170,000 Facebook users. In "The History of the World According to Facebook", Overstreet expands this concept into a full-length history of the world, from its creation up through present day, as if Facebook had existed all along and Abraham Lincoln had written a status update about taking the missus to the theater on April 15, 1865 and Ben Franklin had done the same alerting his network that he'd signed the Declaration of Independence (Bring it, replied John Adams). Filled with hundreds of real-life historical figures and thousands of not-at-all-real Facebook statuses, comments, and actions, and parodying Facebook users' proclivity to over-share and use lazy jargon (lol, rofl, fml, etc.), this is the definitive humor book for our generation.
About the Author
Wylie Overstreet, 26, has worked for Architectural Digest and GOOD Magazine, and has written satire for the website CoolMaterial.com. He lives in Los Angeles.

Yes even being able to support yourself with your creativity is a talent.
Stephen King's formula for learning to write well is: "Read and write four to six hours a day. If you cannot find the time for that, you can't expect to become a good writer." He sets out each day with a quota of 2000 words and will not stop writing until it is met. He also has a simple definition for talent in writing: "If you wrote something for which someone sent you a check, if you cashed the check and it didn't bounce, and if you then paid the light bill with the money, I consider you talented.
I think sometimes people see art as an elitist thing even to the point of expecting non artists who work at other professions to subsidies the arts. I see no need for this. No one subsidies the golfer who isn't entertaining enough to be paid to play, to play his round of golf or give the fisherman money towards his gear to go fishing. In reality the artist can paint commercial art on the side to subsidies the fine art if it does not support them yet just as the author can write advertising until the novel sells.

This sentence below, just 'loses me.'
"'The' is called the definite article because it usually precedes a specific or previously mentioned noun; a and an are called indefinite articles because they are used to refer to something in a less specific manner (an unspecified count noun). These words are also listed among the noun markers or determiners because they are almost invariably followed by a noun (or something else acting as a noun)."
Now I do not intend to give up at the A's. I will 'grasp' that, and re word it so it's comprehend-able to me and maybe people like me who always struggled with technical book talk. - Funny thing is I got straight A's in science - it was things like advanced grammar and Algebra that stumped me. lol, pleased I do not need Algebra to be a writer.
Please feel welcome to reinterpret that into 'common' language for me and others who would benefit from the simpler explanation.

We had a big day out yesterday striving to fix my slow internet connection. I bought the latest 4G service. It has made a fabulous difference to y connection speed. is FAST :-). I'm going to enjoy that.
Reg is Kindle reading, Indigo is frog and lizard spotting from her window seat and I'm coffee sipping and reading before an active work day of test driving and reviewing a car. My new laptop for the caravan when we travel next will be an iPad2 - 'HELP', lol. Can a dyslectic who could not learn to use a smart phone learn how to use an iPad? I like that I will be able to write on the beach and not worry about sand bowing into the keyboard.
Earn money writing tips:
1/ If you plan do use your blog to do reviews or link earning assignments in, use a separate blog to the one you use for your business, book promotion, art work etc.
2/ Get yourself your own domain name for it, don't be someone via blog spot as few people will offer you work if they feel blogger or blog spot is in charge of the blog and not the author themselves.
The follow up after I have had the 4G service for a little over a week is that I am having as much difficulty with a slow internet much of the time and it cutting in and out as although according the the Telstra Bigpond information I am in a 4G area, i am only getting a 3G service here. So no improvement at all as your.
